Design and Dimension

Measuring 4,075 mm in length, 1,754 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, the Aceman positions itself at the lower end of the subcompact SUV spectrum. With dimensions that exceed those of the Cooper by 217 mm and fall short of the Countryman by 354 mm, the Aceman effectively fills the gap left by the departure of the Clubman, offering consumers a compelling alternative in the crossover market.

Performance

Diverging from its counterparts, the Aceman is exclusively available as an electric vehicle (EV), featuring a range of power outputs and battery capacities to cater to varying preferences and needs. With its shared underpinnings with the electric Mini Cooper, the Aceman inherits the same powertrains and battery packs, ensuring a seamless transition to electric mobility.

The Aceman lineup offers two distinct models: the entry-level Aceman E and the more potent Aceman SE. The former comes equipped with a single electric motor producing 181 hp and 290 Nm of torque, complemented by a 40.7 kWh battery pack that delivers a WLTP range of 310 km. Meanwhile, the Aceman SE boasts a more robust electric motor generating 215 hp and 330 Nm of torque, paired with a larger 54.2 kWh battery, resulting in an extended range of 406 km.

Features

Mini's strategic market rollout plan aims to introduce the Aceman to key regions such as China, Europe, and the UK by the end of the year. While its availability in the North American market remains uncertain, the Aceman faces stiff competition from established rivals in Europe, including the Jeep Avenger, Fiat 600e, Peugeot e-2008, DS3 E-Tense, and Opel Mokka Electric.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Aceman's design seamlessly blends Mini's signature aesthetics with contemporary SUV elements. Matte black plastic cladding, skid plates, and roof rails lend the Aceman a distinctive crossover stance, while the wraparound greenhouse and floating roof pay homage to Mini's design heritage. Inside, the cabin exudes sophistication and practicality, featuring a five-seater arrangement with ample cargo space and a host of innovative features such as the MINI Operating System 9 infotainment system, Intelligent Personal Assistant "Spike," and Mini Experience Modes.
