New Photos Of Volkswagen Facelifted Polo GTI

Just two month ago, Volkswagen presented its new facelift on Polo lineup. Above all of them is GTI model. This version was a mystery, till now as the Chief Executive Officer Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Ralf Brandstätter, published some photos on LinkedIn.

Brandstätter on its social media put two photos of this facelift. What we can get from the photos till now are redesign headlights along with same changes on the taillights which are now a bit wider. But what makes GTI unique by the changes are the usual red accents, dual exhaust tips, and a honeycomb grille with built-in LED daytime running lights. The alloy wheels have new breaks with red calipers too.

As this member of VW states, the engine will be the “powerful TSI”. It is in fact, a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline mill with 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque. The Polo GTI, transits the power to the wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox till now. Maybe it would be replaced in the new facelift.

Inside the car is still a mystery. What is expected is a standard digital instrument cluster, new climate controls just like Tiguan and Arteon, with 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Polo GTI by the VW schedule will be unveiled very soon.
