The Nissan Ariya, the company's stylish all-electric SUV, is set to return for the 2025 model year with some key changes. Following a significant price reduction earlier this year for the 2024 model, Nissan has made minor adjustments for 2025, ensuring the Ariya remains competitively priced compared to its predecessor. To streamline the model lineup, Nissan has also reduced the number of available trim levels.

The entry-level position in the Ariya lineup is now occupied by the Engage FWD. While the starting price for the 2024 model was $39,590, the 2025 Engage FWD sees a slight increase to $39,770. This base model is equipped with a 66 kWh battery pack, offering a usable capacity of 63 kWh. Notably, Nissan has revised its battery terminology, now referring to it as a 66 kWh unit, despite previously describing it as a 63 kWh pack.

An all-wheel-drive variant of the Engage is also available, priced at $43,770, a modest increase from the 2024 model's $43,590. Notably, Nissan has discontinued the Venture+ FWD, which previously served as the base model with the larger 91 kWh battery pack. Consequently, the most affordable 91 kWh model is now the Evolve+ FWD, priced at $44,370. Above this sit the Engage+ e-4ORCE ($45,370), the Evolve+ e-4ORCE ($48,370), and the range-topping Platinum+ e-4ORCE ($54,370).

While the 2025 Ariya doesn't introduce any significant upgrades, all models now come standard with the convenience of wireless phone charging. Furthermore, a notable development for Ariya owners is the expanded charging network access. Nissan has secured a partnership with Tesla, granting Ariya drivers access to the extensive network of over 17,800 Superchargers across the United States. However, utilizing this network currently requires a $235 investment in a North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapter kit. Looking ahead, Nissan plans to equip future Ariya models with a native NACS plug, eliminating the need for this adapter.

This refined 2025 Nissan Ariya model lineup positions the electric SUV as a compelling option in the competitive electric vehicle market, offering a blend of performance, technology, and affordability.
