However, the ProMaster EV's design, optimized for cargo capacity rather than aerodynamic efficiency, results in a driving range that might not rival that of consumer-oriented electric vehicles.
The ProMaster EV is presented in two distinct configurations: the standard cargo van and the step van. The cargo van, designed for versatile hauling, is available with a 12-foot or an extended 13-foot cargo area, both built upon a 159-inch wheelbase. Each cargo van variant boasts a substantial payload capacity of 1,369 kg, making it well-suited for a wide range of commercial applications. The starting price for the ProMaster EV cargo van is $56,495, excluding a $1,995 destination fee.
For businesses requiring a more specialized vehicle, Ram offers the ProMaster EV Step Van. This model, priced at $69,995, excluding destination, is equipped with the Safety & Convenience Group as standard, enhancing driver safety and operational efficiency. However, the step van's payload capacity is slightly reduced to 1,304 kg.
All 2025 Ram ProMaster EV models share a common powertrain configuration, featuring a 110 kWh battery pack positioned beneath the vehicle's floor. This battery powers a single electric motor, generating 268 horsepower and 409 Nm of torque, with power delivered exclusively to the front wheels. The regular Cargo Van version achieves a driving range of 264 km, while the Step Van variant offers a slightly extended range of 290 km.
