SAIC Roewe D-series Goes On Sale In China

On November 8, the SAIC Roewe D7, the first model in the D-series, will formally go on sale. The first vehicle in the Roewe brand's "D" new energy product series is the full-size sedan.

It is a component of the April-released "Three-Year Action Plan for New Energy Vehicle Development" from SAIC. Eight new energy vehicles, spanning the compact, mid-size, and large vehicle market sectors and including sedans, SUVs, and MPVs, are scheduled to be introduced over the course of the next three years.

The D7 EV, which is based on the SAIC Xingyun platform, may use a VGA 6-in-1 motor with a maximum power of 155KW and a CLTC integrated range of 510KM and 610KM, respectively, and a Cube battery.

The new DMH dual-motor super hybrid system, which offers a 1,400 km combined CLTC range and 125 km in electric mode, will be included in the PHEV D7 DMH. Over 43% of the engine's heat is efficiently used. The mileage per 100 kilometers is 4.3 liters.

The 510 km range EV variant costs between 20,600 and 21,900 USD, while the plug-in hybrid model is available for 17,800 USD. The price range for the 610 km range electric vehicle is 23,300 to 25,000 USD.

Orders for the PHEV will receive a discount of $700, while those for the electric version of the car will receive a discount of 960 USD for those who leave a 140 USD deposit. In addition, SAIC Roewe is going to provide a replacement subsidy of 5,000 yuan and a 350 USD discount on the second purchase. The manufacturer intends to give discounts of up to 12,000 yuan that is equal to 1,600 USD.

In addition, the Shanghai-based company provides interest-free loans in 24 payments. The powertrain system will be warrantied for six years or 150,000 kilometers for first-time buyers. First-time purchasers will also receive a free charger and installation, as well as three years of free traffic restricted to two gigabytes per month.
