GWM has extended its attractive promotional discounts across its popular vehicle range, offering savings of up to $6,000 to clear existing stock ahead of the arrival of updated models. This "plate clearance" sale, available until January 31, 2025, applies to both private and business customers, encouraging a strong sales push before the introduction of refreshed models throughout 2025.

The discounts extend across the GWM lineup, encompassing popular models like the Cannon ute, the Haval Jolion, the Haval H6, and the Tank 300. The Cannon ute, a strong contender in the Australian market, benefits from significant discounts, ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 depending on the variant. The entry-level Cannon Premium is now available from $35,490 drive-away, while the top-of-the-line Cannon XSR enjoys a substantial $6,000 discount, bringing its price down to $46,990 drive-away.

GWM is preparing to introduce an updated Cannon ute in the coming weeks, featuring a new 2.4-liter turbo-diesel engine that delivers a significant power boost, generating 135kW of power and 480Nm of torque, surpassing the current 2.0-liter engine's output of 120kW and 200Nm. This upgrade coincides with an increase in the braked towing capacity from 3200kg to 3500kg, enhancing the ute's capabilities for work and recreational use.

The Haval Jolion and H6, two of GWM's best-selling models in 2024, also participate in the sales drive. The Haval Jolion, which contributed significantly to GWM's success in 2024 with 14,238 units sold, now starts from $23,990 drive-away, representing a $3,000 discount. The top-of-the-line Haval Jolion Ultra Hybrid is also included, now priced from $37,990 drive-away. Similarly, the popular Haval H6, which achieved 12,416 sales in 2024, sees significant price reductions, with the range-topping Haval H6 Ultra Hybrid now available from $40,990 drive-away, a $5,000 discount from its previous price.

GWM is also making adjustments to its flagship Tank models. The Tank 300 Lux petrol SUV is currently available for $45,990 drive-away, representing a $2,000 discount from its previous price. The Tank 300 Lux Hybrid and Ultra Hybrid models also benefit from price reductions, now available for $50,990 and $64,490 drive-away respectively.

Furthermore, GWM is addressing concerns raised regarding the safety technology in the Cannon Alpha and Tank 500. A software update is currently being rolled out to address these concerns, with newly produced vehicles equipped with the latest firmware. Existing owners will be able to schedule an appointment with their GWM dealer to have the update installed to their vehicles in the coming months.

GWM

This significant price reduction initiative underscores GWM's commitment to the Australian market and its focus on providing competitive pricing and exceptional value to its customers. With the arrival of updated models and ongoing enhancements to its product lineup, GWM is well-positioned to continue its strong growth trajectory in the Australian automotive market.
