Steel Wheels For 2022 Toyota GR86 Base Model, You Will Change It

Author: |

Cars like the Toyota GR86 are certain to find their way into the hands of the aftermarket crowd, and many buyers choose to customize their vehicles themselves. Because of this, buying the top-of-the-line model is a bit of a waste if the buyer's goal for the car is to modify it.

As a result, Toyota has released a stripped-down version of its sports coupe. The RC is the name of this variant of the GR86, and as you can see, it rides on steel rims.

The steel rims were chosen since it is almost certain that the next owner will replace them. However, except for the wheels, it's practically hard to distinguish the RC model from the rest of the lineup.

Bi-LED headlights and gloss black mirror covers are included on even this entry-level model.

There's a blank plate where the audio system should be on the interior, but it's similar to the one seen on the higher trim levels. However, it lacks the leather seats and two-tone motif seen in the more costly models. There is, however, air conditioning, with automated climate control.

The Toyota GR86 RC costs roughly $24,500 at current currency rates, with a basic price of 2,799,000 yen including taxes. The GR86 begins at $27,700, and it's safe to say it's a little more well-equipped than the RC.

The original 2.0-liter gasoline engine has been replaced by a larger 2.4-liter gasoline engine. The horizontally opposed four-banger, which is still naturally aspirated, generates 232 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

Toyota was able to trim 1.1 seconds off the sprint to 100 km/h, which now takes 6.3 seconds, thanks to the improved engine.

It's even possible to order it with metallic paints.
