Suzuki Unleashes Swift Sport Final Edition for Japan

Suzuki has announced the Swift Sport Final Edition, a limited-production version of one of its most beloved models, exclusively for the Japanese market. This special edition serves as a farewell to the current generation of the Swift Sport, as the automaker has yet to confirm plans for a high-performance variant of the next-generation Swift. This has fueled speculation that the Final Edition could mark the end of the Swift Sport’s run.

The Swift Sport ZC33S Final Edition features several unique design elements that distinguish it from the standard model. These include a gloss black grille, 17-inch black-finished alloy wheels, red brake calipers, a red and black “Sport” emblem on the tailgate, and distinctive decals on the C-pillars. While these additions enhance its sporty appeal, the vehicle retains the familiar styling of the hot hatch that has been a popular choice since its debut in 2017.

The interior of the Final Edition also receives subtle yet stylish upgrades. The dashboard, door panels, and center tunnel are adorned with aluminum-style inserts that feature a “heat gradation” effect. Additional details include “Sport” lettering on the passenger side and a “ZC33S powered by Suzuki” badge near the gearbox. The model retains its signature bucket seats, aluminum pedals, and red stitching, maintaining the sporty ambiance Swift Sport fans have come to love. To add a personal touch, Suzuki offers a range of optional accessories, including enhanced aerodynamic components, extra decals, headlight garnishes, and a fuel lid cover, allowing owners to customize their vehicle further.

Under the hood, the Final Edition carries the same 1.4-liter turbocharged engine as the standard Swift Sport. This four-cylinder powertrain delivers 138 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque, providing ample performance for the lightweight hatchback, which tips the scales at just 970 kilograms. Power is sent to the front wheels through a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Unlike the European version of the Swift Sport, which has been equipped with a detuned mild-hybrid engine since 2020 to meet emission regulations, the Japanese-spec Final Edition remains fully non-electrified.

Production of the Swift Sport ZC33S Final Edition will run from March to November 2025. Pricing starts at $15,200 for the manual variant and $15,600 for the automatic. Suzuki has also confirmed that production of the standard Swift Sport will end in February 2025, although it will remain available alongside the Final Edition until inventory runs out. This special edition truly marks the end of an era for Suzuki’s beloved hot hatch.
