The Model B and the Model V are two electric vehicle prototypes introduced by Taiwanese tech and manufacturing giant Foxconn. The Foxconn-branded Model V is Taiwan's first electric pickup truck, and the Pininfarina-designed Model B is a small crossover that will be sold under the Foxtron brand, a joint venture between Foxcon and Yulon Motor.
The Model B is an urban crossover with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm and dimensions of 4,300 mm long, 1,865 mm wide, and 1,530 mm. It is built on the MIH modular architecture.
The Model B has a contoured body, full-width LED lights on both ends, a vented bonnet, air-curtain D-pillars, and an aerodynamic roofline thanks to Pininfarina's sharp style. The carmaker claims that the drag efficiency of the Model B is 0.26 cd.
The large 15.6-inch free-standing infotainment display, along with a compact digital instrument cluster and two additional screens for the digital mirrors, is the interior showpiece.
The 230-horsepower electric motor in the Model B is a single unit. Foxconn states that it has a 450 km range but does not specify the battery size.
Next up comes the Model V truck, which features a Foxconn emblem on the tailgate rather than Foxtron branding. The Model V has a 1,500 mm length rear bunk and a 3,220 mm wheelbase.
The Model V's electric motors' output was not disclosed by the company. The battery can charge from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes, and the projected range is 420 km. The electric pickup has a 1 ton payload capability and a 3 ton towing capacity.
The company also revealed the production version of the Model C concept from last year for 2023, along with two EV prototypes that will go into production during the 2022 Hon Hai Tech Day.
