GMC is set to expand its Sierra EV lineup for the 2026 model year by introducing two new trims: the AT4 and Elevation. These additions not only provide customers with more options but also bring a considerably lower starting price of $62,400.
At the entry level, the Sierra EV Elevation stands out as a more budget-friendly option with a straightforward yet practical design. While GMC has not revealed extensive details about this model, it has confirmed that it will include a power-operated eTrunk, a MultiPro tailgate, and 18-inch wheels featuring a two-tone finish. Inside, buyers will be greeted by an After Dark-themed interior, which houses a large 16.8-inch infotainment system. However, one notable downside is that the luxurious wood trim found in the Denali trim has been swapped out for a cloth accent strip, which bears an unfortunate resemblance to fabric from an office chair from the 1980s.
The Elevation model will be available with both Standard and Extended Range battery options. Although GMC has not disclosed specific range estimates, both versions will feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. The Extended Range variant will stand out with an impressive 645 horsepower and 1,036 Nm of torque.
For those looking for a more rugged and off-road-oriented truck, the Sierra EV AT4 is an exciting addition with a starting price of $79,300. This version boasts a higher suspension setup and 18-inch wheels wrapped in large 35-inch all-terrain tires, which collectively contribute to an added 51 mm of ground clearance. The AT4 is further enhanced with a 4-Wheel Steer system, significantly improving maneuverability and giving the truck the handling feel of a smaller vehicle. Additional off-road features include the quirky CrabWalk function and a trim-exclusive Terrain Mode, both of which aim to provide a better driving experience on rough terrain. Other highlights include an illuminated front badge and standard Super Cruise technology. Inside, the AT4 model features a unique Forest Storm interior, characterized by embroidered headrests and seats adorned with striking white contrast accents.
This rugged variant will be available with both Extended and Max Range battery options. The Extended Range version will deliver 625 horsepower, while the Max Range variant will ramp up the power to 725 horsepower. Despite these differences in horsepower, both configurations will generate an impressive 1,050 Nm of torque.
The Sierra EV Denali will also return for the 2026 model year, offering Standard, Extended, and Max Range battery options. Notably, the introduction of a new base-level battery significantly reduces the starting price from $89,900 to $69,700. Additionally, the cost of the Extended Range model drops from $89,900 to $77,900, translating to a substantial $12,000 price reduction. Although GMC has not provided extensive performance specifications, it has confirmed that the Denali Max Range model will pack a powerful 760 horsepower and 1,063 Nm of torque.
The refreshed 2026 Sierra EV lineup is expected to arrive at dealerships by summer. When it does, buyers will have a selection of new color options, including Coastal Dune, Deep Bronze Metallic, Magnus Matte, and Glacier White Tri-Coat Metallic.
