By a flash back in 1960s, Alfa Romeo has revived the memory of the legendary Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. After 2014, when this company has introduced the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo, now this spider is unveiled. And more interesting this is a limited edition and just 33 of Alfa Romeo 4C Spiders would be produced in North America.
Just for your information the original 33 Stradale in 1967 was a hand-built Franco Scaglione-penned mid-engine exotic based on the Tipo 33 race car that won its class at the 1968 24 Hours of Daytona. The new Alfa Romeo 4C spider tried to keep its family Legacy. This classic car in the electric cars and SUV world, has the duty of “passing the torch to the next generation of iconic Alfa Romeo vehicles.” This is the Global Head of Alfa Romeo, Tim Kuniskis, expression.
This Alfa Romeo 4C has just one-color option, Rosso Villa d’Este tri-coat exterior color, with gray-gold 5-hole alloy wheels (18-inch front/19-inch rear), so don’t insist on other color’s availability. In side the car the sport seats are made of composite materials covered with black Dinamica® suede and tobacco leather.
As Alfa Romeo 4C Spider 33 Stradale Tributo is going to be just 33 Units, each car has its very owned Plaques on the dashboard. Also, there is a detailed manual book for the customers. Customers also get treated to a matching, numbered book designed by Centro Stile (Design Center) that chronicles the 4C’s design concept, technology, materials and Modena assembly facility as well as the history of the 33 Stradale.
By a look you can feel the Formula 1 sprite in the monocoque. Its sleight curves and converged back-end. More over the Akrapovic dual-mode center-mounted exhaust is on this car, just as the standard equipment. Also, the race-tuned suspension, bi-xenon headlamps, battery charger, car cover, suede/leather seats and carbon fiber halo, rear wing and Italian flag mirror caps are also placed on this vehicle.
Under the hood, lays all-aluminum 1750cc turbocharged engine with direct-injection, dual intercoolers and variable-valve timing, producing 237 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. This Revival can hit 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. Okay that not very high, but cool. Also, the top speed is 160 mph. The transmission unite is the most advanced technology of Alfa Romeo, it’s a 6-speed Alfa twin-clutch transmission.
Aside all the power and weak points the red transparent finish is not ignorable. Anybody would die for it (me included). From 8 billion of earth population just 33 of them would experience it.
