Technically aside from the standard safety features, the Corolla employs a significantly modified version of the 1.6-liter inline-3-cylinder engine found in the GR Yaris.

Simple things like the fuel distribution system and the ignition system have to be adjusted by Toyota. The Toyota Corolla, on the other hand, features four pressurized hydrogen fuel tanks in the back, which were borrowed from the Toyota Mirai hydrogen-powered consumer sedan.

Seeing this race vehicle in action makes hydrogen appear even more practical in everyday life, especially if the automobiles that result are equally as quick and entertaining. The Toyota Corolla Hydrogen racing vehicle has competed in a number of events. After each race, the power train and basic things like pitstop refueling speed are improved.
