A 59.6 kWh battery pack powers an electric motor producing 250 Nm of torque and 174 horsepower in the entry-level VF 7. It will allow the WLTP range of the city-focused variant to reach up to 375 km.

Those who upgrade to the VF 7 Plus are rewarded with an all-wheel drive system with two motors that can produce up to 349 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. Additionally, a larger 75.3 kWh battery pack will be available to customers, extending the WLTP range to 431 km. The sprint to 100 km/h also takes 5.8 seconds.

Because there isn't much inside save a 12.9-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the interior is minimalist in design. Nevertheless, the crossover features a unique shifter, "vegan-leather" seats, and a head-up display. With a panoramic glass roof and a two-tone design, the Plus version goes above and beyond.

Regarding safety, VinFast informed customers that features like automated emergency braking, blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, and a forward collision warning system will be available. Surround view camera system, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert join them.

Reservations for VinFast will open on December 2; Vietnamese deliveries are expected to start in early 2024. Eventually, the crossover will be available in more markets, including the US. Customers can save money if they lease the battery separately.
