Author: |

VW has unveiled a brand-new "Edition" trim for the Multivan vehicle. VW also revealed a "Good Night" option for the van that would turn it into a lightweight camper. Between the mid-spec Life and the premium Style, there is a void that is filled by the Multivan Edition.

The grille, roof, and mirror caps on the VW Multivan Edition have a Deep Black Pearl Effect treatment to go with the black Toshima 18-inch alloy wheels. Along with the normal IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, VW also added "Edition" stickers to the profile and tailgate, tinted windows, and darkened LED taillights. A variety of striking exterior colors, such as Pure Gray, Candy White, Energetic Orange Metallic, Indium Grey Metallic, Mono Silver Metallic, and Reflex Silver Metallic, can be coupled with all those attributes.

Volkswagen's digital cockpit, an eight-speaker music system, a total of six USB-C charging outlets, air conditioning with a heater for the passengers, and a few ADAS, such as the Intelligent Speed Assist, are also included as standard equipment.

There are two lengths of the Multivan Edition: 4,973 mm and 5,173 mm. Additionally, it has five, six, or seven seats inside the cabin and both sides have sliding doors.

In addition to a fold-out bed within the cabin and a "blackout option," VW will sell a "Good Night" package. Although this makeover does not go as far as the full-fledged California campervans, it nonetheless improves the Multivan's suitability for camping trips by utilizing its roomy cabin.

With a seven-speed DSG transmission, the VW Multivan Edition can be powered by 1.5 TSI or 2.0 TSI gasoline engines, 2.0 TDI diesel engines, or PHEV powertrains.

The cost of the model in Germany ranges from €51,747 to €57,465 depending on the version. The PHEV model's costs have not yet been disclosed.
