Bentley debuted the 2021 model year Bentley Bentayga Speed SUV and here are some details about it.
The facelifted version of the performance SUV benefits a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine with 626 hp and 900 nm of torque. The power plant is connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new Bentayga Speed can hit 100 kph in 3.9 seconds and can reach the top speed of 306 kph which puts it as the fastest production SUV (if we don't consider ABT Audi RSQ8-R which is a tunned non-standard car).
Bentley used a new cylinder deactivation system for the 2021 Bentayga Speed that can shut off up to 6 cylinders from 12 in order to reach a better fuel economy.
Other technical updates includes the Bentley Dynamic Ride with a 48V system, a revised torque converter, and a recalibrated Torque Vectoring system. Buyers also can order carbon ceramic brakes as an extra-cost option.
The new Bentayga Speed is not only a technically updated version but also is a visually updated model. Changes for the 2021 Bentayga Speed model are body-colored side skirts, bespoke bumpers, new oval-shaped tailpipes, new 22-inch wheels, and tinted headlights.
Inside the cabin almost everywhere is wrapped with leather and Alcantara, there is 10.9-inch touchscreen for the infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster.
Bentley customers can order a Black Specification package for their Bentayga with black roof rails. 22-inch wheels, black tailpipes, and carbon-fiber roof spoiler.
Bentley hasn't released any pricing for the 2021 Bentley Bentayga Speed.
