In China, Wuling introduced the new Xing Guang. Prices for the top variant start at $12,558 and go up to $14,962.
The dimensions of the Xing Guang are 2,800 mm in width, 1,860 mm in length, 1,515 mm in height, and 4,835 mm in length.
The fashionable plug-in hybrid is sure to draw attention because of its aerodynamically optimized grille, which is located beneath a slim light bar. The sedan's streamlined bodywork and LED headlights combine to give it a drag coefficient of 0.228.
Moving backward, the rear end has flowing taillights and resembles the EV6. Additionally, the model comes with low rolling resistance tires wrapped around 17- or 18-inch wheels.
A 10.1-inch infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster are located inside the simple cabin. Additionally, gloss black accents, a rotary shifter, and a floating center console are available to buyers. A four-speaker audio system, an automated climate control system, and a six-way power driver's seat join them.
The 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and 15.6-inch infotainment system with voice interaction and Ling OS for navigation are features of the top-of-the-line model.
Under the hood is a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder plug-in hybrid powertrain with an electric motor producing 174 horsepower. The range-topping trim has a 20.5 kWh battery that extends the range to 150 km, while the entry-level variant's 9.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery provides a 70 km electric-only range. Both enable WLTC ranges exceeding 1,100 km overall.
Wuling also declared that a fully electric model will be available the following year.
