According to China EV DataTracker, total sales of the G6 in China reached 90,268 units between June 2023 and January 2025. The G6 has become a key driver for Xpeng's expansion into international markets, and its recent introduction in the UK marks another milestone for the brand.

2025 Xpeng G6

The vehicle first made its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2024. Subsequently, on February 13, 2025, Xpeng officially launched sales of the G6 in the region. International Motors Ltd (IML) has been appointed as the official distributor for Xpeng in the UK and plans to establish approximately 20 dealerships throughout the country by the end of the year.

The G6 is the first Xpeng model to be sold in the UK and is built on the SEPA 2.0 platform, which provides torsional rigidity of 41,600 Nm/degree. In terms of dimensions, the G6 measures 4,753 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,980 mm. This places it in direct competition with the Tesla Model Y in terms of size. The G6 features 20-inch wheels equipped with Michelin tires for enhanced performance.

Inside, the Xpeng G6 offers a range of advanced features, including two 50W wireless charging pads, a 10.2-inch LCD instrument cluster, and a 14.96-inch central touchscreen. The driver’s seat is equipped with an 8-way power adjustment system and 4-way lumbar support. Additionally, the front seats include both heating and ventilation functions. Another notable feature is the premium 960W audio system, which includes 18 speakers.

The standard Xpeng G6 variant features a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configuration, powered by a single electric motor generating 255 hp and 440 Nm of torque. It utilizes a 66 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, allowing for a WLTP-rated range of 435 km. The Long Range version, also RWD, produces 282 hp and is powered by an 87.5 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery, extending its range to 570 km. Although Xpeng also offers a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) version with 480 hp, this variant will not be available in the UK market.

The standard range version of the Xpeng G6 is priced at £39,990 ($49,855) in the UK, while the long-range variant with the larger battery costs £44,990 ($56,090). During the launch event, Xpeng also showcased other models, including the G9 crossover, the X9 minivan, and the P7+ sedan. These vehicles are expected to be introduced to the UK market in the near future.
