Xpeng Mona 03 Is High-tech Car With Unbelievable Pricing

Author: |

Xpeng, the electric car whiz kid, has cooked up something new: the Mona M03. Don't get confused though, it's not a whole new brand, just a fancy new name for a line of cars Xpeng is really excited about. They're calling it Mona, short for "Made Of New AI," because they're all about the smart tech and self-driving stuff.

Xpeng didn't do this alone. They teamed up with Didi, the big name in ride-hailing. Didi helped dream up the M03's look and even chipped in on the brains behind the car. But don't worry, Xpeng is handling all the nitty-gritty stuff like building the cars and getting them to the dealers.

The M03 is shaping up to be a sleek sedan, smaller than Xpeng's current P5 model. It's got a pretty normal car shape, but Xpeng has added some cool touches like fancy headlights and taillights to make it stand out from the crowd. We haven't seen inside yet, but from the outside, it looks like there's a giant screen in the middle of the dashboard, which is all the rage these days.

Xpeng is using their Fuyao platform for the M03, and they're packing it with their latest self-driving tech. To keep the car going, they've picked a battery from BYD, known for their long-lasting batteries. Xpeng says the M03 can go about 310 miles on a single charge, which is pretty good.

One of the biggest things about Chinese electric cars is that they're usually pretty affordable, and the M03 is no exception. Xpeng is aiming for a price tag between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan, which is a whole lot less than you'd pay for a fancy foreign car.
