Although Mazda recently introduced a turbocharged version of Mazda 3 with a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G engine but this 250hp hot hatch is not a model that most buyers are looking for.
For 2021 Mazda 3 uses a Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter engine on a base model. The naturally aspirated power unit can pump out 155 hp and 203 NM of torque. The power sent to front wheels and supported by a G-Vectoring Control Plus as standard.
Another engine option is Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter for S trim hatchback and sedan with 186 hp and 252 NM of torque. This model can be equipped with an all-wheel drive system as an extra cost option.
Mazda also made some changes in base trims standard equipment. For 2021 buyers will get in-car WiFi hot spot, LED daytime running lights, automatic LED headlights, LED taillights, 16-inch alloy wheels, rearview camera, rain-sensing windshield wipers and three years trial of Mazda Connected Service.
Other standard features include 8.8-inch display, bluetooth, two USB ports, 8 speaker audio system, HD Radio ™, push button start, electronic parking brake, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
On the safety side the 2021 Mazda 3 comes standard with adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, Smart Brake Support, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Driver attention Alert and High Beam Control.
As an option buyers can order power moonroof, navigation. Bose 12-speaker premium audio system, shark antenna and SitiusXM with three month trial with extra cost.
