The third-generation HR-V has already made its debut in a few locations, and it is now making its way to Australia. The Australian market's specifications and pricing for the Honda HR-V 2022 have been confirmed. The new HR-V will be available in two grades, each with a different powerplant.
The Vi X grade model is at the bottom of the 2022 HR-V series. Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keep Assist System, Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, High Beam Support System, and Traffic Sign Recognition are some of the important features of the HR-V Vi X. It also has Hill Descent Control, Walk-Away Locking, a 9-inch touchscreen screen, satellite navigation, 19-inch alloys, and privacy glass, as well as Honda's Agile Handling Assist System. The starting price in Australia is AU$36,700 ($27,528).
This model comes standard with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 119 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. According to the Japanese automaker, this engine burns 5.8 liters per 100 kilometers in the mixed cycle.
The HR-V e-HEV L is the flagship model. The HR-V e-HEV L also comes with a slew of other capabilities that the Vi X lacks. There's a Blind Spot Information System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent speed assist, hands-free tailgate, auto-dimming rearview mirror, auto rain-sensing wipers, LED active cornering lights, heated front seats, leather steering wheel, heated steering wheel, an acoustic windscreen, and rear air vents with USB ports, among other features. The starting price for this model is AU$45,000 which is equal to US$33,754.
This type combines a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to provide 129 horsepower and 253 Nm of torque between 4,000 and 8,000 rpm. On the combined cycle, it also returns 4.3 liters per 100 kilometers. Platinum White, Premium Opal, Crystal Black, Meteroid Grey, and Premium Crystal Red will be among the five hues available on the HR-V in 2022.
