Kia has been too busy this year. New cars, new Logo, new trims. This company has revealed a new trim on the Stinger Scorpion. The 2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion Special Edition will join the market, with massive positive changes. It’s going to be a sportier sedan.
Company moved its artistic fingers on this vehicle to put it to another level. And we can confess, the efforts were partly successful. As the firm schedule in each month, 250 units of this special edition will be produced. And the price tag for the rear-wheel-drive is 52,585 and will rises to $54,785 with all-wheel drive. Don’t have the money, you can count on the GT2 trim.
This Scorpion is getting blacker on its body. On the fender trim and mirror caps the black wear is seen. Although rear spoilers are body-colored, but again exhaust has dark tips. The wheels are 19-inch wide with black finish. The body colors are Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black, and Ceramic Silver. The exterior is not jut about the color. The small touches on the body includes the light strip spanning the area between the taillights and redesigned the LED headlights.
By the way, interior has not been changed a lot. Its still the same Stinger Scorpion but with some fake carbon fiber trim around the cabin. By the leather options buyers can have black Nappa or the red colored. Moreover, inside the cabin, a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system is placed. And Kia used a 4.2-inch display for the instrument cluster, and by demand of costumers it can be replaced with 7.0 inches.
But this creature has changed inside more. Of course, Kia has already introduced the 2022 Stringer model of years power-train. But with the new changes, this sedan has a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder delivering 300 horsepower (224 kilowatts) and 311 pound-feet (422 Newton-meters) of torque instead of previous 2.0-liter powerplant. The zero to 100 km/h of this vehicle is 5.2 seconds. And with the twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 the out put increases to 274 kW.
