For the 2023 model year in Australia, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport lineup has been updated. A tire pressure monitoring system is now a requirement for all Pajero Sport GLS and higher grades starting in 2023, according to Mitsubishi Australia. The sporty GSR is now offered in Terra Rossa with a black roof, and the Pajero Sport GLS and Exceed models now come in a new shade called Impulse Blue. In relation to the GSR, it also has 18-inch alloy wheels, black badges, bumper garnish on the front and rear, front grille, headlight garnish, roof, and spoiler.
Additionally, there are numerous Mitsubishi Genuine Accessories available for the SUV, many of which are bundled into one of three available Accessory Packages, for customers to select from.
The first of these is the Signature Pack, which includes new badges, illuminated scuff plates, an interior emblem, silver front and rear under garnishes, and black fender flares. The Signature Plus pack expands on this by including a towbar, 50 mm towball, weather shields, and a Nudge Bar with an integrated LED light bar. A black or silver engine hood emblem, a Redarc electric brake controller kit, a snorkel, a Rola Titan MK2 roof tray, roof rack crossbars, a frontal protection bar, scuff plates, a towbar, and a 50 mm tow ball are all included in the expedition pack.
Both the 42 and 44 versions of Mitsubishi's Pajero Sport use a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine with ratings of 180 horsepower at 3,500 rpm and 430 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. An automatic transmission with eight gears is mated to this engine.
Active stability control, active traction control, emergency stop signal, anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, emergency brake assist, forward collision mitigation system, hill start assist, speed limiter, brake override system, and trailer stability assist are just a few of the safety features that are included as standard equipment. Blind spot warning, auto-sensing headlights, hill descent control, rear cross-traffic alert, lane change assistance, and an Ultrasonic misacceleration mitigation system are some of the optional active safety features.
The new model will begin production in February, and dealerships anticipate beginning delivery in April.
Prices in Australia start at AU$ 44,940 for the five-seater 42 GLX and AU$ 50,190 for the four-seater 42 GLS in 2023. (seven-seat). The GLX, GLS, Exceed, and GSR all have to start MSRPs of AU$49,940, AU$55,190, AU$60,690, and AU$62,440, respectively, for 44 models.
