Lately we heard many news of the new coming cars in this summer. Mostly they were new electric cars. This time we have a combination of revival, electric car, and designing. Alpines as a part of the Renault, announced they are working on A5, which can be some strains with the old Renault 5 concept.
Although A5 seems to be and Audi, but unfortunately is a compact vehicle from Alpine. It is based on the CMF-EV platform, which is used for EVs. The main aim for making this car, can be some new trying to add some fashion the cars, or putting electric motors on the front axle, as Renault Group’s Executive Vice President of Engineering, Gilles le Borgne, was quoted by AutoExpress. Yes! This is a front-wheel drive electric car. As this company claims, just 6 seconds is enough to reach 100 km/h by the A5 which means it is just as quick as ICE-powered Ford Fiesta ST.
The exterior design is also this much surprising. It could look like the Renault 5 concept, and kind of like this rendering that comes courtesy of Reichel Car Design. The modification includes new modified front bumper, two rally-style lamps between the headlights, and LED DRLs further down. Also, some black plastic is used for the cladding on the lower parts of the body soldiers on and the famous blue car on the body. Some in hue color is used on the brake calipers too.
The number 5 is also on the headrests of the front seats which has blue double stitching and metal trim. Although this is just a primary rendering, but is should be many more important changes inside the vehicle as its going to be electric and also modern. We should wait to see more.
