According to the newspaper, the E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback will not only get a new battery, but they will also have better electric motors that are more efficient. According to Autocar, both models of the E-Tron would have a range of more than 600 kilometers. The current 95-kilowatt-hour battery has a range of 400 kilometers in the UK, which is more lenient in its range testing than the US EPA.
The new E-Tron will not be available until the second part of 2022. The upgraded powertrain, as well as the new aesthetics, are intended to extend the model's lifetime.
