BYD Displays Its European Lineup At Paris Motor Show

BYD is a dominant player in the Chinese market for new energy cars. Despite the Chinese company's announcement of its European launch two years prior, the three-member EV lineup's real rollout is taking place this year. At the Paris Motor Show, the Atto 3 small crossover, Han sedan, and Tang big SUV were on display.

The 2020 release of the BYD Han sports car with PHEV and EV powertrains will only be available in Europe. Its dimensions are 4,995 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, 1,495 mm in height, and 2,920 mm in wheelbase.

The BYD Han has a dual-motor AWD drivetrain with a total 510 horsepower. The Chinese automaker proudly displayed its 3.9-second sprint from 0 to 100 km/h on the tailgate. The WLTP range is 521 kilometers because to a sizable 85,4 kWh BYD Blade battery.

The second model is the BYD Atto 3, which was first made available in China in 2021. It is built on the e-Platform 3.0 and has dimensions of 4,455 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, 1,615 mm in height, and 2,720 mm in wheelbase.

The European Atto 3 is equipped with a single 201 hp front-mounted electric motor and a 60.48 kWh BYD Blade Battery that provides a 420 km WLTP range.

Recent Euro NCAP testing of the vehicle resulted in an exceptional five-star safety rating, making BYD one of the few Chinese automakers to provide Euro NCAP ratings.

The third design is a sizable three-row SUV by the name of BYD Tang. The oldest of the group, this was first made available in China in 2018, though a facelift was added in 2021. It is 1,725 mm tall, 1,950 mm wide, and 4,870 mm long.

The BYD Tang receives a slightly larger 86,4 kWh battery along with the same 510 horsepower AWD electric drivetrain as the Han. The SUV's 400 km WLTP range.
