Pre-orders for the brand-new Chery Tiggo 7 Plus compact SUV are now open. It is an update of the previously available Chery Tiggo 7 Plus and features new design features like 19-inch five-spoke wheels, a darkened D-pillar to give the impression of a suspended roof, and significantly flared front and rear fenders. A sizable polygonal grille up front is embellished with chrome trim strips. The center features the Chery company logo. For decoration, red trim strips are put underneath the grille. The sporty appearance is further enhanced by the piercing taillight design and chrome-plated exhaust pipes on either side of the back.
The new Chery Tiggo 7 Plus has dimensions of 4500mm in length, 1862mm in width, 1695mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2670mm.
The interior features a dual-screen design measuring 24-6 inches, a head-up display, a D-shaped multi-function steering wheel, and a connection between the instrument panel and the central control screen. The Lion 5.0 operating system from Chery powers the infotainment. The interior's magnolia red and black color scheme, combined with the chrome trim strip decorations on the center console, door trim, and headrest, add to the car's opulence. A large sunroof is also standard on the vehicle. Eight Sony speakers support the sound system.
A 1.6T engine with 194 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission to power the new Chery Tiggo 7 Plus.
In terms of safety, the car has six airbags and an L2+ driving aid system with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automated emergency braking.
According to Chery, the new Chery Tiggo 7 Plus will be available in China on November 7 for a price range of 14,900 to 16,900 USD. In the near future, we might see this CUV in the Russian or Iranian Markets as Chery is well-known in those areas.
