Donkervoort, a Dutch automaker, has made public announcements on its arrival in America. Orders for the D8 GTO Individual Series, which starts at $240,000 plus options, taxes, and fees, are now being taken by the company.

Despite the two-year waiting list in Europe, Donkervoort has been preparing for its US arrival since last year. Donkervoort has a free production capacity that will immediately satisfy US demand.

The Dutch company's local partner, Bespoke Imports Group, will market and support its goods in the United States.

The first Donkervoort to be made available in the US market will be the D8 GTO Individual Series, which made its debut in September 2021.

The vehicle is propelled by a 2.5-liter, five-cylinder turbocharged TFSI engine tuned by ABT Sportsline and obtained from Audi Sport, generating 435 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque. The D8 GTO, which weighs less than 680 kg, has a top speed of 286 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and 200 km/h in 7.7 seconds.

The possible gearboxes are not mentioned, however, in Europe, the D8 GTO Individual Series comes standard with a five-speed manual and may also be available with a six-speed sequential gearbox.

A Bosch ABS system that has been tuned specifically for tracks and a faster steering rack for quicker reactions are some of the available features.

The base price in the US market is $240,000, which is more expensive than the base price in Europe, which was disclosed last year at €197,109.
