Entry-Level Lexus RZ 300e U.S. Pricing Revealed

Lexus has unveiled the RZ 300e in Japan, with plans to introduce it in the U.S. in 2024. Priced at $55,150, the front-wheel-drive RZ 300e features a 201 hp motor, making it $4,700 more affordable than its all-wheel-drive counterpart, the RZ 450e. Despite a 107 hp difference, the RZ 300e boasts a larger 72.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering an EPA-estimated range of 428 km with 18-inch wheels; however, opting for 20-inch wheels reduces the range to 360 km.

Compared to the RZ 450e, equipped with a 71.4 kWh battery, the RZ 300e demonstrates improvements in both battery size and range. The unique rear subframe in the RZ 300e contributes to a smoother and quieter ride. In terms of aesthetics, the 2024 RZ introduces a new Copper Crest color. Technological enhancements include a "dual-voltage charging cable" compatible with 120V and 240V outlets.

Although Lexus didn't delve into extensive details, the RZ 300e features NuLuxe upholstery, "shadow illumination," and a 14-inch infotainment system. Furthermore, buyers can benefit from various driver assistance systems such as All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.

The Lexus RZ offers a range of pricing options to suit different preferences and needs. The RZ 450e Premium AWD with 18" wheels starts at $59,850, while upgrading to 20" wheels brings the price to $61,090. For those seeking a more luxurious experience, the RZ 450e Luxury AWD is available for $65,580. Alternatively, the RZ 300e offers a more affordable option with the Premium FWD model starting at $55,150 with 18" wheels and $56,390 with 20" wheels. The top-of-the-line RZ 300e Luxury FWD is priced at $60,880. With a variety of options available, there is a Lexus RZ model to fit every budget and preference.
