Fiat Titano Midsize Pickup Revealed

In Algeria, the brand-new Fiat Titano midsize pickup made its debut. The Peugeot Landtrek and the new pickup share a lot of parts. Fiat Titano will be sold in South America, beginning in Brazil, in addition to Africa.

It is difficult to tell the Fiat Titano apart from its Peugeot twin from the outside. The 18-inch alloy wheels, the redesigned grille, the name on the tailgate, and the emblems seem to be the only areas where they differ from one another.

The Kaicene F70 and Changan Lantazhe from China share the same ladder-frame underpinnings as the greenhouse and profile.

The Fiat is offered in Single Cab and Double Cab configurations, with the former giving preference to interior space and the latter to cargo area length. The Titano is slightly longer than the Toyota Hilux at 5,331 mm.

Although the Fiat emblem is prominently displayed on the steering wheel, the interior is primarily similar to that of the Peugeot. Notably, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen is exclusive to the flagship Titano Volcano trim.

The 1.9-liter diesel engine in the Titano built for Algeria generates 350 Nm of torque and 148 horsepower. Only a six-speed manual gearbox, equipped with an electronic differential lock, can transmit power to all four wheels (4x4) or the rear (4x2). This version can carry a maximum payload of 1,210 kg.

Fiat did not say which engine would be installed in the Titano when it gets to Brazil. With its reliable 2.2-liter Multijet II turbodiesel, which generates a healthy 197 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque, it seems like a solid choice. Although it hasn't been verified, the Peugeot Landtrek's turbocharged 2.4-liter gasoline engine, which produces 207 horsepower and 320 Nm, may also be used in other markets.

As previously mentioned, the model will be offered throughout South America, beginning in Brazil. Every market will receive a unique engine designed to meet the unique requirements of the local clientele. Dealerships in Algeria are already selling the Fiat Titano, with prices varying based on the trim level from $25,939 to $31,887.
