Fiat has unveiled a slew of changes for its 2022 model lineup. A new Tipo Cross SW, some minor adjustments to the 500X, and a slew of new RED Editions are among the improvements.
The most noticeable cosmetic change for the 500X is the redesigned front badge, which now reads '500' rather than Fiat. Fiat writing replaces the Fiat emblem on the rear.
The Dolcevita soft-top variant of the small crossover is offered in two of the three trim levels (Cross and Sport). 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, and a seven-inch touchscreen display are included on the entry-level Club trim.
These adjustments apply to all MY22 500X models. The SUV is available in Hatchback and Dolcevita soft-top bodystyles. It's also speculated that it'll get a new engine this year, though nothing has been verified as of yet.
Moving on to the Tipo family, there are three trim options for the 2022 model year, all of which are exclusively offered as a hatchback. Adaptive cruise control, electric heated door mirrors, a seven-inch touchscreen with DAB, Bluetooth, and new 16-inch alloys come standard on even the most basic Tipo model.
17-inch alloy wheels, plastic cladding on the bumpers, fenders, and side sills, aluminum-style skid plates, greater ground clearance (40 mm), and full-LED headlights/taillights are all standard on the Tipo Cross Station Wagon.
The Tipo RED special edition has a Passione Red exterior with body-colored mirrors, (RED) emblems on the pillars, and Sequal Marine Plastic upholstery with the FIAT monogram and red stitching for the seats. The exterior colors of the vehicle include Colosseo Grey, Gelato White, and Cinema Black, although the mirrors are always red.
The Panda RED is based on the Panda City Cross trim, which was revised for 2021, therefore it has the same crossover-style styling as the Panda City Cross and the same 1.2-liter mild-hybrid engine. It shares the same colors, insignia, and inside upholstery as the Tipo RED in terms of specifications.
A biocide material is put to the air cabin filter, steering wheel, and seats on all RED models, killing 99.9% of germs and viruses. A Welcome Kit, which comprises a dispenser and a unique key cover, is also sent to them.
The "Sanitizing Glove Box" system, which comprises a UV-C light within the dashboard glove compartment that sanitizes anything that comes into contact with it, is also included with the New 500 RED. A button on the central console turns on the lamp, and an exterior blue light indicates when the 3-minute irradiation cycle is over.
The Fiat 500X is still Fiat's lone vehicle in the United States, and it comes in four trim levels for the 2019 model year: Pop, Trekking, Sport, and Trekking Plus.
In America, the 1.3-liter engine with 177 horsepower and 285 Nm of torque is the only option, and it drives all four wheels.
