Japanese tuner GMG Double Eight Makes The Hilux Look Like A Tundra

Author: |

A modified body kit made by Japanese tuner GMG Double Eight gives the Hilux the appearance of being a smaller version of the Tundra. The redesigned front fascia, which has a Tundra-like vibe, is the bodykit's standout feature. The Hilux is given a full-size pickup appearance with a huge octagonal grille with a honeycomb pattern, a black skid plate, Toyota writing in GR style, and three yellow marker lights. While a decorative hood scoop is fitted on the stock bonnet, the new vertically positioned bumper intakes are attached to the factory headlights.

Except for the wide fender additions, the rest of the bodywork is virtually unaltered. To give them a more rough appearance, they have imprinted elements and body coloring.

 Toyota Hilux

Since there are no mechanical modifications, the Toyota Hilux keeps its factory-installed 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine with 147 horsepower in JDM-spec or the 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine with 201 horsepower everywhere else in the world. Assuming that the bodykit is compatible with the GR Sport as well as other Hilux models.

The improvements will set you back $1,630 for the front bumper, $35 for the inner mess of the grille, $55 for the yellow marker lights, $659 for the fender add-ons, and $402 for the bonnet scoop. In total, the complete kit by GMG Double Eight costs $2,692.
