Jeep Wrangler 1941 Willys Edition Revealed

Stellantis is known for its deep appreciation of heritage and its tendency to release special edition versions of its vehicles, and the latest to join the lineup is the Jeep Wrangler 1941 Willys Edition. This model has just been introduced in India, with only 30 units being produced, making it an exclusive and limited offering. While this anniversary edition shares some similarities with the 2025 Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41 Special Edition available in the United States, it’s not exactly the same. Both vehicles, however, share retro-inspired styling elements that pay tribute to their historical roots.

The Jeep Wrangler 1941 Willys Edition is based on the Rubicon trim, and it comes with a few notable design and equipment upgrades. One of the most distinctive features of this model is its exclusive ’41 Green color, which is inspired by the military green of the original Willys Jeep. A nostalgic 1941 decal on the hood adds an extra touch of vintage appeal. If buyers are looking for more customization, there’s an optional accessory package available, which includes a Sunrider roof, a side-mounted ladder, and a roof carrier. Powered side steps come as standard, making it easier to enter the cabin without manually stepping up. However, Indian buyers won’t find the upgraded wheels featured on the US version, though this likely won’t be a major issue for those who prefer a more rugged look over flashy aesthetics.

Inside, the 1941 Willys Edition continues the retro theme with some thoughtful touches, including classic grab handles and all-weather floor mats with bold red Jeep lettering. It also includes front and rear dash cams for added convenience and safety.

Unlike the US version of the Willys ’41 Special Edition, which comes with the electrified 4xe powertrain, the Indian 1941 Willys Edition runs on a gas engine. Under the hood, it features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 270 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. This power is distributed to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission, providing solid performance both on and off the road.

Exclusively available in India, the Jeep Wrangler 1941 Willys Edition is priced at approximately \$80,300 before taxes and registration. With additional costs for optional accessories, the final ex-showroom price could reach around \$87,000. Jeep has noted that the special edition carries a premium of \$1,900 over the standard Wrangler Rubicon, not including the accessories. For the 30 buyers lucky enough to own one, the added exclusivity and collectibility of this limited-edition model could make the premium price worthwhile.
