The newly updated Leapmotor C10 crossover has officially launched in the Chinese market with a base price of 122,800 yuan (approximately $17,000). One of the most notable improvements is in its Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) version, which now utilizes an 800V high-voltage architecture, significantly enhancing its efficiency in charging and discharging. As a result, this variant offers an impressive driving range of up to 605 km under the CLTC standard. Deliveries for this model are scheduled to begin on May 20, 2025.
Originally introduced in March 2024, the Leapmotor C10 quickly expanded beyond China into international markets, including Europe. However, on May 15, Leapmotor unexpectedly unveiled the 2026 model year version of the C10 in China. The naming is curious, considering that it was revealed in the first half of 2025. Despite the odd timing, this updated version brings several new features and performance enhancements.
In terms of exterior design, the 2026 Leapmotor C10 closely resembles its predecessor, maintaining a sleek and minimalistic appearance. The front end is characterized by curved LED headlights connected by a light strip, while the large air intake on the bumper adds a touch of aggression. A LiDAR sensor sits atop the vehicle, contributing to its autonomous capabilities. Other exterior highlights include flush door handles, a unified taillight strip, and a selection of six exterior paint options: green, black, light gray, purple, dark gray, and white.
Inside the cabin, the C10 continues its modern approach with two available interior color themes: orange and purple. Dominating the dashboard is a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, accompanied by a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel. The gear shifter is positioned behind a two-spoke, flat-bottomed steering wheel, giving it a sporty flair. One of the standout features of the interior is its 12-speaker audio system, powered by a Snapdragon 8295 chip, which enhances the infotainment experience.
The BEV variant’s 74.9 kWh LFP battery pack, combined with its 800V system, allows it to recharge from 30% to 80% in just 16 minutes. The electric motor in this version delivers 295 horsepower, which is a 67 hp increase over the previous model year. This improvement reduces the 0–100 km/h acceleration time to 5.9 seconds, compared to 7.3 seconds in the earlier model.
Leapmotor also offers a range-extended version (EREV) of the C10. This variant uses a 228 hp electric motor and a 28.4 kWh LFP battery, delivering an electric-only range of 140 km (WLTC). It also includes a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine generating 94 hp, which functions solely as a generator. This setup allows the EREV C10 to achieve a combined driving range of up to 1,020 km, supported by a 50-liter fuel tank.
In terms of pricing, the BEV variant ranges from $17,000 to $19,800, while the EREV model is slightly less expensive, with prices between $17,000 and $18,400.
