According to Lexus, the GX will start at $64,250 when it enters dealerships in the first quarter of 2024.
A 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 349 horsepower and 649 Nm of torque sits beneath the engine. It is coupled to a four-wheel drive system that operates continuously and has a limited-slip locking center differential, as well as a ten-speed automatic transmission. The GX can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds with this configuration.
The SUV is expected to get 15.6 l/100km city, 11.2 l/100km highway, and 13.8 l/100km combined. Comparing it to its predecessor with V8 engine, it shows a slight improvement.
First up, there's the base GX 550 Premium, which comes equipped with power liftgate, fixed running boards, and LED lighting units. In addition, the SUV has 20-inch wheels, a tow hitch, and a moonroof.
The interior of the seven-seater is tastefully furnished with a 14-inch infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. An ambient lighting system, ten speakers, and a steering wheel covered in leather all complement each other. The NuLuxe upholstery on the model's front seats is also covered in heating and ventilation.
The Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite of driver assistance systems is included with the GX. It has a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assistance, and all-speed dynamic radar cruise control. A few more features are Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, and an Emergency Driving Stop System that can gradually stop the car if the driver stops responding.
A kick sensor for the power liftgate and LED fog lights are two more features of the $69,250 GX 550 Premium+. What's more, it has a power folding third-row seat, heated second-row seats, and a heated leather steering wheel. A Panoramic View Monitor, a wireless smartphone charger, and an enhanced Intuitive Parking Assist system with Pedestrian Detection are some of the other highlights.
For $77,250, you can purchase the GX 550 Luxury. It features bigger 22-inch wheels and mirrors that have built-in puddle lights. The front seats are semi-aniline leather with massage, ventilation, and heating. Additionally, the model includes second-row sunshades and illuminated door sill plates.
The most expensive model is the $81,250 GX 550 Luxury+, which has power running boards and a panoramic glass roof. Buyers will also get an adaptive variable suspension, a digital rearview mirror, a cool box, and a Mark Levinson premium audio system with 21 speakers.
There's also the Off-Road Overtrail, which starts at $69,250. It is largely similar to lower trims and has a five-seat interior with a heated leather steering wheel and NuLuxe upholstery. Black roof rails, a windshield wiper de-icer, headlight washers, and a ten-speaker audio system are also included. Given its off-road orientation, the Overtrail is outfitted with 18-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires.
The model also includes an electronic locking rear differential, an electronic kinetic dynamic suspension system, an adaptive variable suspension, Multi-Terrain Select, a Panoramic View Monitor with a Multi-Terrain Monitor, Crawl Control with Turn Assist, and Downhill Assist Control.
Much the same, but with heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats as well as heated second-row seats, is the $77,250 Overtrail+. Additionally, buyers will find second-row sunshades, illuminated door sill plates, a wireless smartphone charger, and a power steering wheel.
