Manhart unveiled the tuned facelifted 2021 M5 and 2022 M5 CS, as well as the new and even more powerful MH5 800. The most noticeable visual changes are the 21-inch Manhart Concave One alloy wheels finished in matt black and shod in mixed performance rubber (265/30ZR21 at the front and 305/25ZR21 at the rear).
A carbon-fiber aero package including spoiler, side skirts, mirror caps, diffuser, and rear spoiler lip is also available, as is an optional carbon hood with GTR inlets. Manhart picked a mat red metallic wrap with pink vibes for this example, along with a black stripe and black side graphics.
Inside, there's a sky roof headliner with LEDs that looks like it came from a Rolls-Royce, as well as plenty of carbon fiber trim on the dashboard, steering wheel, and shift paddles.
The twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 is set to produce 804 horsepower and 1,050 Nm of torque in this configuration. This gives it 187 horsepower more than the original M5 Competition and 177 hp more than the most powerful M5 CS from the manufacturer.
This resulted from Manhart's turbo performance kit, intercooler, carbon intake, exhaust, and ECU remapping, as well as an upgraded 8-speed automatic gearbox to handle the additional torque.
The firm did not give performance numbers, but we are confident that the MH5 800 will outperform the stock M5 Competition, which speeds from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a peak speed of 305 km/h.
Manhart's new exhaust has "Race" downpipes with no catalytic converters, stainless steel OPF-delete replacement pipes, and a stainless steel rear silencer with valve control. Carbon-coated or ceramic-coated tailpipes are available as options for the four tailpipes.
Aside from the engine and exhaust, Manhart enhanced the handling by installing adjustable H&R lowering springs (-30 mm).
According to the official brochure, the entire cost of the modifications, including VAT, is $54,585, which is $54,585 more than the cost of the donor car. This includes $18,728 for engine enhancements, $12,428 for exhaust upgrades, $3,944 for wheels and suspension, and $18,344 for the entire set of aesthetic alterations.
