Mercedes X-Class Six-Wheeler, A Very Unique Design

Author: |

This one-of-a-kind X-Class was recently sold by Classic Youngtimers in the Netherlands. It was originally a standard X 350d, but the previous owner wanted something unique, so they built a custom subframe that allowed for the installation of a third axle and two additional wheels. According to Classic Youngtimers, this X-Class was not designed for exhibition but was intended to be driven off-road and driven to its limits.

A custom subframe is used to handle the extra axle. A 10-centimeter suspension lift is also included. The additional height allows for the installation of new wheels with large, off-road tires.

The interior is unaltered. The seats are black leather with silver trim. On the passenger side of the dashboard, there is a six-wheeler symbol. Even with the extended bed, the camera system continues to work. The X350d's drivetrain remains unchanged. A 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 engine produces 255 hp and 550 Nm of torque. It has a seven-speed automatic transmission. There are no switches for the drivetrain, implying that this is a full-time system.
