The Outlander crossover's 40th Anniversary Edition has been unveiled by Mitsubishi. The models are intended to commemorate Mitsubishi Motors North America's 40th anniversary, as their name suggests.
Based on the SEL Premium trim, the Outlander 40th Anniversary Edition has special badging, a Black Diamond exterior, and a Bronze roof. Scuff plates and an illuminated grille are further unique features.
The company pointed out that although Mitsubishi vehicles had been offered in the US before 1981, they featured Dodge and Plymouth badging because of their cooperation with Chrysler. Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, on the other hand, was founded in 1981.
Additionally, there is a 9.2-inch infotainment system with GPS, a 10.8-inch head-up display, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for buyers. A 10-speaker Bose premium audio system, a heated steering wheel, semi-aniline leather seats, heated front and back seats, and a panoramic sunroof are other highlights.
A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque powers the vehicle. It is coupled with an all-wheel drive system that is standard and a continuously variable transmission.
Priced at $39,995, the Outlander 40th Anniversary Edition. The plug-in hybrid powertrain of the Outlander PHEV 40th Anniversary Edition, which has a starting price of $49,995, consists of a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, a 20 kWh battery pack, and two electric motors.
