New VW Polo Track To Replace The Gol In South America

The Gol will be replaced by the VW Polo Track in South America. The MQB-A0 platform and the majority of its appearance and interior design are shared by the VW Polo Track, a new version of the subcompact vehicle that will be manufactured in Brazil.

The distinctive grille pattern, the absence of the LED strip, the halogen headlights, and the various bumper intakes devoid of body-colored components set the Polo Track apart from the ordinary Polo. With the exception of the matte-black 15-inch hubcaps, the silhouette is similar.

The cheaper radio unit that takes the place of the touchscreen and the instrument cluster's outdated analog dials give the interior a more straightforward appearance. The seats are covered in fabric, but everything else is made of hard plastic with textured parts that are gently tinted to try to make it look more appealing.

Air conditioning, electronic steering, front electric windows, and remote door locking are all included in the equipment. A sound system, Bluetooth capability, a multifunction steering wheel with integrated buttons, a few USB connections, and a roof-mounted antenna will also be included with the debut model.

The Polo Track is equipped with a naturally aspirated 1.0 MPI flex engine that can run on both gasoline and ethanol and generates 83 horsepower and 101 Nm of torque. This engine is similar to the base model offered in Europe. The front wheels receive power via a five-speed manual gearbox.

The Hill Start Assist, ESC, seatbelt alert, and Isofix and top tether points for child seats are all examples of safety equipment. Four airbags are standard equipment on the Polo Track.

The Volkswagen plant in Taubate, Brazil will manufacture the Polo Track. Four hues make up the color palette: metallic Platinum Gray, metallic Platinum Gray, metallic Sirius Silver, and solid Crystal White.

The price of the replacement VW Gol, which will replace the old model by the end of 2022, is also the same. Starting price for the Polo Track 1.0 MPI is $15,052. As you can see, it is far less expensive than the Polo 1.0 TSI, which costs US$17,499 and is more potent and well-equipped.
