Pagani has introduced the exclusive Huayra Epitome, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece set to make its grand debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Hailed as the zenith of Pagani's street-legal cars, the Huayra Epitome stands out as the first model in the Huayra series to feature a manual transmission.
The centerpiece of the Epitome's innovation is its seven-speed manual gearbox, developed in collaboration with Xtrac. Pagani highlights that this transmission is equipped with the latest triple-disc clutch system for improved torque delivery, complemented by an electronically controlled differential and a racing-inspired tripod joint system that enhances engine response and overall performance.
The Huayra Epitome's striking blue carbon fiber bodywork is designed to captivate, but it's the distinctive elements that truly set this vehicle apart. At the forefront, the car features a redesigned bumper with an integrated splitter that significantly boosts downforce. This new design is paired with larger air intakes, redesigned inner ducts, and custom lighting units that add to its unique appeal.
As you move towards the rear, the car showcases ventilated front fenders and a bespoke rear section complete with an integrated wing. The aerodynamically refined taillight covers and a six-tip titanium exhaust system further accentuate its cutting-edge design. Inside, the Epitome boasts a luxurious interior clad in carbon fiber, while the forged aluminum monolithic wheels draw inspiration from an Imola coupe owned by the car's commissioner. These wheels are encased in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, ensuring they remain lightweight and performance-oriented.
Powering this extraordinary machine is a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine sourced from Mercedes-AMG, delivering an impressive 852 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque. This powerhouse enables the Huayra Epitome to reach an electronically capped top speed of 350 km/h.
In addition to its formidable powertrain, the Huayra Epitome features a revised suspension geometry designed to minimize dive during acceleration, reduce pitch while braking, and mitigate roll during cornering. This refined setup is complemented by an active suspension system that includes a "super soft" mode, offering additional comfort on uneven road surfaces.
The creation of the Huayra Epitome is a testament to Pagani's dedication and craftsmanship. The project was spearheaded by Pagani's Grandi Complicazioni division, which collaborated closely with the client to bring this vision to life. The initial phase of conceptualization spanned nine months, followed by ten months of meticulous design and development.
In essence, the Huayra Epitome represents the pinnacle of Pagani's automotive artistry, combining unparalleled performance with exquisite design details, making it a true masterpiece in the realm of luxury sports cars.
