Skoda has kicked off 2025 by introducing a stylish new addition to their popular Kamiq SUV lineup in the UK: the Design Edition. Positioned strategically between the existing SE Edition and SE L Edition trims, the Design Edition boasts a host of attractive features and is set to become a compelling option for UK buyers.

Drawing inspiration from the stylish Fabia, the Kamiq Design Edition enhances the standard model with a range of eye-catching design elements. On the exterior, 17-inch Propus aero alloy wheels add a touch of sportiness, while a contrasting black roof and side mirror caps create a striking visual appeal. Rear privacy glass further enhances the vehicle's sleek profile.

The interior of the Design Edition reflects a focus on style and sophistication. A black headliner creates a more refined ambiance, complemented by aluminum pedals that add a touch of premium flair. Ambient lighting introduces a warm glow to the cabin, while red trim accents on the dashboard inject a vibrant touch. A three-spoke sports steering wheel completes the sporty interior package.

Powering the Kamiq Design Edition are two turbocharged 1.0-liter gasoline engines. The base engine delivers 95 horsepower, while a more powerful 116 horsepower option is also available. Both engines can be paired with a standard manual gearbox, while the 116 horsepower variant offers the option of a smooth-shifting seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. In terms of fuel efficiency, Skoda claims impressive figures: 5.4 liters per 100 kilometers for the 95 horsepower manual, 5.4 liters per 100 kilometers for the 116 horsepower manual, and 5.6 liters per 100 kilometers for the 116 horsepower DSG, all measured according to the WLTP cycle.

Pricing for the new Kamiq Design Edition starts at £25,855 OTR for the base model with the 95 horsepower engine and manual transmission, rising to £28,185 OTR for the top-spec 116 horsepower model with the DSG automatic gearbox. This positions the Design Edition competitively within the Kamiq range, offering a compelling value proposition for those seeking a blend of style, performance, and practicality.

The introduction of the Design Edition further strengthens the Kamiq's position in the competitive UK market. With its distinctive styling, enhanced features, and efficient powertrains, the Design Edition is poised to attract new customers and solidify the Kamiq's reputation as a stylish and capable compact SUV.
