Toyota is considering to seel a manual version of its flagship coupe, Supra. The latest generation of Toyota Supra is a BMW Z4 underpin and like its German twin uses an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF as standard.
Toyota recently revealed its plane to extend the Supra family and the manual trim is one of the models that is considered to add on the production line.
While the Supra is available with both 3.0-liter inline-6 or 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines currently, it is unclear that which engine will get a stickshift gearbox.
As the six-cylinder Supra shares its engine with BMW M4 and M3 that are available with a manual transmission as well, the possibility of this model to get a manual transmission is higher than the four-pot model.
