Toyota is going to start receiving orders for the new Toyota Yaris Cross from November 2 in Australia and its base price will start from AU$26,990 that is equal to US$19,222.
Standard equipment for the base GX trim are smart entry and start, climate control, infotainment system with smartphone integration, Toyota Connected Services, Automatic Collision Notification, reversing camera, and adaptive cruise control.
The mid-range trim is called GXL and it is available from AU$29,990 or US$21,358 and it adds LED headlights, a panoramic camera system, and Blind Spot Monitor.
The next trim is called Urban and its starting price is AU$32,990 or US$23,495 and it comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate with kick sensor, a power driver’s seat, and heated front seats.
Under the hood, Toyota Yaris Cross uses a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with 118 hp and 145 nm of torque connected to a CVT transmission. The CVT transmission can provide 10 gear ratios on manual mode.
There is a hybrid 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine available as well with 114 hp that consumes only 3.8 l/100km. There is an AWD version available as well that adds an extra electric motor on the rear axle.
Toyota will sell Yaris Cross with a five-year warranty, seven years for the engine and driveline, and up to 10 years for the hybrid version’s battery.
