Kia Motors is going to sell the new Kia Sorento PHEV in Europe by early 2021.
The Kia Sorento PHEV benefits a 1.6-liter T-GDi turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 178 hp and 265 nm of torque and an electric motor with 90 hp and 304 nm of torque. The hybrid powertrain is supported by a 13.8 kWh battery pack and is connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The combined output of PHEV powertrain is 261 hp and 350 nm of torque. The battery pack is located beneath the floor so it didn’t affect the boot of luggage space. The Sorento Plug-in Hybrid will be available in both 5 and 7-seat configurations.
The PHEV Sorento is not only the most powerful variant of this crossover but it is also the most eco-friendly one. Kia hasn't mentioned the electric driving range or fuel consumption figure yet but the will do it near the launch time.
