Pagani Unveils Ultra-Exclusive Codalunga Speedster

Pagani has once again pushed the boundaries of exclusivity with a new hypercar that only the most discerning collectors can even dream of owning. This latest creation is a variation on the Codalunga, which itself is a long-tail version of the iconic Huayra. Known as the Codalunga Speedster, this stunning machine represents a distinct departure from the standard model, featuring a removable hardtop and a host of subtle yet significant modifications both inside and out. The brand will produce just 10 units, with each car being a completely bespoke project tailored to the individual owner’s preferences.

Horacio Pagani, the visionary behind the brand, describes the Huayra Codalunga Speedster as a homage to those who see their sports cars as symbols of lightness and fluid momentum. He draws inspiration from the legendary racers of the 1950s and 1960s—vehicles celebrated not only for their performance and innovative technology but also for their timeless beauty. The Speedster aims to capture that perfect blend of elegance and raw power.

Design-wise, the Codalunga Speedster sets itself apart within the Huayra lineup. It features a noticeably lower windshield and windows, lending it a sleeker profile. The headlights are seamlessly integrated into the bodywork in a way never seen before on a Huayra. Its removable hardtop forms a shape reminiscent of a raindrop, contributing to its aerodynamic silhouette. At the rear, the exhaust system has been reimagined, boasting six outlets instead of the traditional four—two positioned beneath the rear diffuser and four embedded in the bumper.

The interior carries the bespoke theme further, with finishes that evoke the spirit of vintage race cars. Instead of the usual carbon fiber and titanium-heavy treatments, the cabin highlights mahogany wood and hand-hammered, polished aluminum rivets, creating a warm and artisanal atmosphere. The upholstery is also unique to this model, drawing inspiration from contemporary design trends and Pagani’s own exhaust aesthetics. This isn’t merely a facelift on the original Huayra launched back in 2011—the Codalunga Speedster features an entirely new monocoque structure. It incorporates hidden NACA ducts, refined diffusers, and aerodynamic enhancements that significantly improve the car’s drag coefficient.

Beneath the rear decklid lies the same powerful AMG-sourced V12 engine that powered the Huayra Codalunga tested last year. In the Speedster, this engine produces a commanding 864 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque, delivered exclusively to the rear wheels via a seven-speed transmission. Buyers can select either an automated manual gearbox or a traditional three-pedal manual setup, catering to purists and enthusiasts alike. Stopping power comes from massive Brembo brakes, while Pirelli Trofeo R tires ensure the car sticks to the road with confidence. The electronically limited top speed is an astonishing 350 km/h when pushed to its limits.

Adding to its exclusivity, Pagani offers the Grandi Complicazioni program, an ultra-customization service that takes personalization to new heights. This division crafts extraordinary, highly specialized components that require immense skill and dedication—often produced in extremely limited numbers or even as one-of-a-kind pieces. Comparable to Ferrari’s Tailor Made or Lamborghini’s Ad Personam programs, Pagani’s approach is distinguished by its limitless scope. According to the manufacturer, the only boundary is the imagination of the customer, allowing for bespoke concepts, forms, materials, colors, and finishes. This makes the Codalunga Speedster not just a car but a blank canvas for automotive artistry, perfectly suited to a brand renowned for creating extraordinary, exclusive vehicles.
