This new iteration of the Mini has grown in size to accommodate two additional doors, now measuring 4,036 mm in length, which is 172 mm longer than its smaller sibling, along with a 72 mm increase in wheelbase. The design, while modernized, maintains the classic Mini aesthetic that fans love. It shares many design elements with the 3 Door model launched last year, but with the obvious addition of two more doors. The front end of the car features stylish, circular headlights with LED daytime running lights and a prominent split black grille. The painted bar dividing the grille is slightly thinner compared to the 3 Door. The car retains the short overhangs and the signature triangular taillights at the rear, ensuring it remains recognizably a Mini.

Inside, buyers have four trim options to choose from. The Essential Trim comes with black seats adorned with patterned fabric. The Classic Trim upgrades the standard two-spoke steering wheel to a three-spoke one. For a touch of style, the Favored Trim includes a two-tone houndstooth pattern on the dashboard. The sporty JCW Trim stands out with multi-colored knitted fabric and black imitation leather with red stitching.

No matter which trim is chosen, all new five-door Mini Coopers feature a large, circular 9.4-inch OLED display situated in the center of the dashboard. This display runs the latest Mini Operating System 9 and includes the Mini Intelligent Personal Assistant. Drivers can configure seven different interior modes via the display to change the cabin's atmosphere and feel.

In the European market, the Cooper 5 Door will be offered with two gasoline engine options. The entry-level Cooper C will come with a small turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque. This version can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds and reach a top speed of 225 km/h. For those seeking more power, the Cooper S will be available with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque. The Cooper S achieves a 0-100 km/h time of 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 242 km/h.

Mini has ensured that the new Cooper 5 Door offers a dynamic driving experience, boasting a suspension and damping system tuned for spirited handling. Additionally, an adaptive suspension with frequency-selective dampers is available as an option. The hatchback will come with wheel sizes ranging from 16 to 18 inches, and choosing 17-inch or 18-inch wheels will provide the benefit of wider 215 mm tires.
