Nissan has unveiled the 2025 Murano, a mid-size crossover that promises a luxurious and refined driving experience. The new Murano, dubbed a "road-going sanctuary," is packed with features that set it apart from its predecessor.
One of the standout features is the availability of optional massaging front seats, a first for the Murano. All models come equipped with a new digital cockpit featuring dual 12.3-inch displays. Additionally, the 2025 Murano introduces 21-inch wheels, available on Platinum trims. Safety is a priority, with Nissan's Safety Shield 360 driver-assist suite standard.
The Murano has undergone a complete redesign, both inside and out. While slightly larger than its predecessor, the overall dimensions remain similar, ensuring a comfortable interior. However, legroom in the back seat is slightly reduced compared to the previous generation.

Despite the focus on interior space, the Murano's appeal has always been its distinctive styling. The new model maintains this tradition with a split light motif and a more symmetrical grille. While the overall design is reminiscent of the new Kicks, the Murano's broad, smiling face and LED lamps integrated into the grille corners give it a unique identity.
Other notable exterior changes include relocated side mirrors, flatter body lines, and a redesigned rear fascia. The Murano's signature D-pillar kink remains, but it is complemented by chrome trim for a more coupe-like appearance.
Inside, the dual displays create a modern and tech-forward interior. The 2025 Murano offers features such as Google built-in, ProPilot Assist 1.1, Invisible Hood View, and the 3D Intelligent Around View camera. The digital driver display is customizable, and a color heads-up display is available as an option. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with active sound cancellation.
Under the hood, the Murano is expected to receive a significant upgrade. The outgoing 3.5-liter V6 will likely be replaced by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, similar to the one found in the Infiniti QX60. This new engine offers a balance of power and efficiency. Additionally, a nine-speed automatic transmission will replace the previous CVT.
Pricing for the 2025 Murano will be announced closer to its on-sale date, which is expected to be early next year. Based on current pricing trends, a starting MSRP in the low-$40,000 range is anticipated. The range-topping Platinum AWD model is likely to exceed $50,000.
