Author: |

Acura has updated its popular RDX crossover for the 2025 model year, giving it a subtle facelift. This is the second refresh for the third-generation RDX, which first came out in 2018. While the changes aren’t huge, they’re designed to make the crossover look better and feel more comfortable inside.

The most noticeable update is at the front, where the RDX now features a new "Frameless" Diamond Pentagon grille. This grille has a sleeker design and updated mesh. There are also three new exterior colors for 2025: Solar Silver Metallic, Canyon River Blue Metallic, and Urban Gray Pearl. Plus, there are new wheel designs and finishes available for a bit more style.

Inside, Acura has made some functional and aesthetic improvements. The center console now has bigger cupholders and easier access to the wireless smartphone charger. The 10.2-inch infotainment screen now offers a widescreen mode when using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, making it more user-friendly. Higher-end trims with the Advance package come with added luxury features like full leather upholstery and ambient lighting.

Under the hood, the 2025 RDX keeps the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which delivers 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. It uses a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system.

While these updates are more about refinement than major changes, they aim to keep the RDX attractive and competitive in the luxury compact crossover market. Pricing details for the 2025 model haven’t been announced yet, but it’s expected to be similar to the 2024 RDX, which started at $45,700.
