BMW debuted equivalent models of the 5-Series and 6-Series GT in India. The two limited edition versions are a part of the 50th anniversary festivities for BMW M.

The M Sport package, which gives the vehicles more of a sporty look, is installed on them. The kidney grille, bumper intakes, and rear apron of the 50 Jahre M Editions are gloss black, as are the exclusive emblem and the one-of-a-kind jet-black wheels. While the 6-Series gets a distinct set of 19-inch alloy wheels, the 5-Series has a set of 18-inch alloy wheels. The M Sport brakes with red-painted calipers are visible behind them. The Carbon Package or the optional M Accessories can further personalize the appearance.

There is also four-zone climate control. Other notable features include the BMW Live Cockpit Professional with twin 12.3-inch screens that use BMW Operating System 7.0 rather than the more recent 8.0 software.

A 2.0-liter, four-cylinder petrol turbocharged engine is standard on both variants. The 530i's engine produces 248 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, while the 630i's engine produces a slightly higher 255 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox in both vehicles transmits power to the rear axle.
