Dongfeng has unveiled the Aeolus Yixuan MAX Dark Night Edge Edition, a new performance sedan. Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan MAX Dark Night Edge Edition was introduced as a concept last year and is currently for sale in China. The special edition comes included with an aggressive body kit.
The front end is visually dominated by a grille that connects to genuine and false intakes and is accented by gold accents and a massive splitter. Front and rear fender extensions maintain the same idea on the profile, expanding the sedan's breadth and concealing the larger-diameter BBS-style wheels.
Things become much strange towards the rear, especially in the wing section.
The twin fixed rear spoiler appears to be two separate components placed on top of each other at a warehouse corner. The rear bumper has been altered as well, with a large diffuser and two golden wings, while the quad exhaust pipes appear excessive for the task but are effective, according to Chinese media.
The Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan MAX Dark Night Edge Edition is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 188 horsepower and 300 Newton-meters of torque. A seven-speed DCT transmission transmits power to the front axle, allowing for a peak speed of 210 km/h.
Inside, there's a conventional 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a 3D image of the sedan sans the fancy body kit, as well as a 10.25-inch center touchscreen.
The price of the Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan MAX Dark Night Edge Edition in China is $18,631.
