Are you curious about the first electric vehicle from Genesis, the GV60? It’s finally out and you can see if it’s your type or not without buying one. The YouTube channel “Asian Petrolhead” did the first drive test.

Genesis is well-known as the luxury section of Hyundai company. And to be fair, the quality is very high which can compete with German cars. One of the positive points for genesis is its prices too. The GV60 as the first electric vehicle of this company is not purely developed by Genesis. It shares its technology with Hyundai and Kia. The platform is just the same as Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. Both cars had good overviews.

Now it’s time for Genesis to shine. In the video, very specifically many items are tested. The new Genesis electric SUV can have a 77.4 kWh battery pack and the option between both a single-motor rear-wheel-drive and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. But in the video, you can see that Asian Petrolhead uses the performance mode. It’s a bit more expensive but the output is 429 hp without boost mode. With this mode, it can be increased to 483 hp with 700 Nm of torque.

By the way, this Genesis electric vehicle despite its lower range compared with the Kia EV6 is more expensive. But on the other hand, the production quality is perfect. Also, Electronic Limited Slip Differential and a Drift Mode made the handling so easy. Just take your time and watch the video.
